Local designer, Anke Loh, revealed her latest work, Urban Identities, a new group of garments based on her research and experimentation during a visiting fellowship at the Research Center for Fashion, Body, and Material Cultures, London.
Anke Loh lives in Chicago, where she works as a designer and assistant professor in the Department of Fashion at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
The whole thing went down at Carnival Foods, a corner grocery in Lincoln Park.
Our menu was served in various spots in the store: at the deli, in front of the cheese cooler, and behind produce.
- In the Produce Department: Heirloom Tomato Salad w/ grilled zucchini yeast bread, hand pulled fresh mozzarella, basil oil
- At the Fish Counter: Wild Salmon Tartare w/ grapefruit reduction, grey shallots, and baby cilantro
- At the Deli: Mixed Grill of local Quail and Artisanal Sausage, Seasonal Vegetable Succotash w/ Tarragon and Maple
- In the Freezer Aisle: Sampling of 3 Artisanal Housemade Frozen Custards: Peach – Blueberry – Chocolate. Served w/ Accompaniments
