We are always curious about the daily lives of people around the globe.

What do they eat? What do they drive? Do they play and work as hard as us?

This curiosity sparked pen-pals networks, international social-networking, and now the Global Lives Project.

The Global Lives Project is a collective effort of more than 150 volunteer filmmakers, artists, architects, programmers and everyday people from around the world to build and display a video library of human life experience.

We dined our way through “A Day in the Life” of a Brazilian, using local ingredients such as quail eggs from MI, pork from Twin Oaks farm in IL, and local seasonal produce.

  • Pao de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), Michigan quail eggs, bacon, herb salad
  • Peach and summer berry salad w/ honey and coconut
  • Smoked Twin Oaks pork Feijoada w/ French Green lentils and baby cilantro
  • Plantain-crusted Grouper w/summer squash and aji amarillo reduction
  • Espresso Pot de Creme, whipped cream and dulce de leche
